But Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Hark, the feet of those that have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

But Peter said to him, “Your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!


And Peter remembered and said to him, “Master, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered.”


And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.


Thou wilt give them dullness of heart; thy curse will be on them.


Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you shall die, because you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’ ”


Then he said to him, “Because you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, behold, as soon as you have gone from me, a lion shall kill you.” And as soon as he had departed from him, a lion met him and killed him.


And him who escapes from the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay; and him who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.


And as he went away a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his body was thrown in the road, and the ass stood beside it; the lion also stood beside the body.


Hushai said moreover, “You know that your father and his men are mighty men, and that they are enraged, like a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. Besides, your father is expert in war; he will not spend the night with the people.


and God also made all the wickedness of the men of Shechem fall back upon their heads, and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal.


you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,


he said, “Cursed be Canaan; a slave of slaves shall he be to his brothers.”


being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.


Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people.


Let a man meet a she-bear robbed of her cubs, rather than a fool in his folly.


but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the citizens of Shechem, and Beth-millo; and let fire come out from the citizens of Shechem, and from Beth-millo, and devour Abimelech.”


From there he went on to Mount Carmel, and thence he returned to Samaria.


And I will let loose the wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number, so that your ways shall become desolate.


Condemnation is ready for scoffers, and flogging for the backs of fools.
