Will you depend on him because his strength is great, and will you leave to him your labor?


“Who has let the wild ass go free? Who has loosed the bonds of the swift ass,


He scorns the tumult of the city; he hears not the shouts of the driver.


“Is the wild ox willing to serve you? Will he spend the night at your crib?


Will you play with him as with a bird, or will you put him on leash for your maidens?


The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows.”


Harness the steeds to the chariots, inhabitants of Lachish; you were the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion, for in you were found the transgressions of Israel.


God brings them out of Egypt; they have as it were the horns of the wild ox.
