Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”


The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’


And he said, “At this season, when the time comes round, you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord, O man of God; do not lie to your maidservant.”


Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”


and the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him;


however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.


as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are now her children if you do right and let nothing terrify you.


And as morning appeared, the woman came and fell down at the door of the man's house where her master was, till it was light.
