“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You’re the Holy One of God!”


Then he moved out to the gate that led into the courtyard. There another servant saw him and said to the people, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”


All this took place to make what the Lord had said through the prophet Isaiah come true. He’d said,


“We’ve found that this Paul is a troublemaker. Everywhere he goes in the world, riots break out among the Jews. He’s the leader of a cult called the Nazarenes.


“Fellow Israelites, listen to this! God showed his approval of the man Jesus of Nazareth by doing miracles, wonders, and signs among you through him. You all know this well.


Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read, Jesus of nazareth, the king of the jews.


He asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered.


“Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “That’s me,” Jesus said. Judas, who was going to hand Jesus over, was standing there with them.


Joseph and Mary did everything that the Law of the Lord required, and then they returned to their own town of Nazareth in Galilee.


In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee.


The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”


Then Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and John baptized him in the Jordan River. As
