The words which from my mouth proceed, the thoughts sent from my heart, Accept, O Lord, for thou my strength and my Redeemer art.


Snares, fire and brimstone, furious storms, on sinners he shall rain: This, as the portion of their cup, doth unto them pertain.


Give ear unto my words, O Lord, my meditation weigh.


As for the head and chief of those about that compass me, Ev'n by the mischief of their lips let thou them cover'd be.


On a ten-stringed instrument, upon the psaltery, And on the harp with solemn sound, and grave sweet melody.


Upon his own head his mischief shall be returned home; His vi'lent dealing also down on his own pate shall come.
