Lord, what is man, that thou of him dost so much knowledge take? Or son of man, that thou of him so great account dost make?


Trust not in princes, nor man's son, in whom there is no stay:


O let thy hand be still upon the Man of thy right hand, The Son of man, whom for thyself thou madest strong to stand.


Remember me, Lord, with that love which thou to thine dost bear; With thy salvation, O my God, to visit me draw near:


O ye the sons of men! how long will ye love vanities? How long my glory turn to shame, and will ye follow lies?


Day utters speech to day, and night to night doth knowledge teach.


For all the gods are idols dumb, which blinded nations fear; But our God is the Lord, by whom the heav'ns created were.


Who by his wisdom made heav'ns high: for mercy hath he ever.


The moon and stars to rule by night: for mercy hath he ever.
