The heavens by the word of God did their beginning take; And by the breathing of his mouth he all their hosts did make.


The whole works of the Lord our God are great above all measure, Sought out they are of ev'ry one that doth therein take pleasure.


He sets the moon in heav'n, thereby the seasons to discern: From him the sun his certain time of going down doth learn.


The heav'ns are thine, thou for thine own the earth dost also take; The world, and fulness of the same, thy pow'r did found and make.


O praise ye him, both sun and moon, praise him, all stars of light.


The heav'ns God's glory do declare, the skies his hand-works preach:
