O Lord, thou hast me search'd and known.


Shall not God search this out? for he heart's secrets understands.


A good man's footsteps by the Lord are ordered aright; And in the way wherein he walks he greatly doth delight.


Examine me, and do me prove; try heart and reins, O God:


men's sons. The just he proves: But his soul hates the wicked man, and him that vi'lence loves.


The arm break of the wicked man, and of the evil one; Do thou seek out his wickedness, until thou findest none.


Thou prov'dst mine heart, thou visit'dst me by night, thou didst me try, Yet nothing found'st; for that my mouth shall not sin, purpos'd I.


Their teeth, O God, within their mouth break thou in pieces small; The great teeth break thou out, O Lord, of these young lions all.


To judge the fatherless, and those that are oppressed sore; That man, that is but sprung of earth, may them oppress no more.


He took me from a fearful pit, and from the miry clay, And on a rock he set my feet, establishing my way.


God also will a refuge be for those that are oppress'd; A refuge will he be in times of trouble to distress'd.


For I God's ways kept, from my God did not turn wickedly.


Stir up thyself; wake, that thou may'st judgment to me afford, Ev'n to my cause, O thou that art my only God and Lord.


Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against th' ungodly nation; From the unjust and crafty man, O be thou my salvation.


Among the heathen say, God reigns; the world shall stedfastly Be fix'd from moving; he shall judge the people righteously.


Before the Lord; because he comes, to judge the earth comes he: He'll judge the world with righteousness, the people faithfully.
