Rise for our help, and us redeem, ev'n for thy mercies' sake.


Rahab in pieces thou didst break, like one that slaughter'd is; And with thy mighty arm thou hast dispers'd thine enemies.


The spearmen's host, the multitude of bulls, which fiercely look, Those calves which people have forth sent, O Lord our God, rebuke, Till ev'ry one submit himself, and silver pieces bring: The people that delight in war disperse, O God and King.


When there th' Almighty scatter'd kings, like Salmon's snow 'twas white.


Them slay not, lest my folk forget; but scatter them abroad By thy strong pow'r; and bring them down, O thou our shield and God.


Thine hand shall all those men find out that en'mies are to thee; Ev'n thy right hand shall find out those of thee that haters be.
