He only my salvation is, and my strong rock is he: He only is my sure defence; much mov'd I shall not be.


Our soul doth wait upon the Lord; he is our help and shield.


Rest in the Lord, and patiently wait for him: do not fref For him who, prosp'ring in his way, success in sin doth get.


I waited for the Lord my God, and patiently did bear; At length to me he did incline my voice and cry to hear.


Behold, as servants' eyes do look their masters' hand to see, As handmaid's eyes her mistress' hand; so do our eyes attend Upon the Lord our God, until to us he mercy send.


My safety cometh from the Lord, who heav'n and earth hath made.


But the salvation of the just is from the Lord above; He in the time of their distress their stay and strength doth prove.


Wait on the Lord, and be thou strong, and he shall strength afford Unto thine heart; yea, do thou wait, I say, upon the Lord.


Unto the Lord I with my voice, I unto God did cry; Ev'n with my voice, and unto me his ear he did apply.


Praise waits for thee in Sion, Lord: to thee vows paid shall be.


I said, I will look to my ways, lest with my tongue I sin: In sight of wicked men my mouth with bridle I'll keep in.


And do thou lead me in thy truth, therein my teacher be: For thou art God that dost to me salvation send, And I upon thee all the day expecting do attend.
