Because that thou for evermore most blessed hast him made; And thou hast with thy countenance made him exceeding glad.


To judgment and to righteousness a love he beareth still; The loving-kindness of the Lord the earth throughout doth fill.


Yea, all the wicked of the land early destroy will I; All from God's city to cut off that work iniquity.


The king's strength also judgment loves; thou settlest equity: Just judgment thou dost execute in Jacob righteously.


Thou art my Father, he shall cry, thou art my God alone; And he shall say, Thou art the Rock of my salvation.


Ev'n David, I have found him out a servant unto me; And with my holy oil my King anointed him to be.


Because the Lord most righteous doth in righteousness delight; And with a pleasant countenance beholdeth the upright.


Kings of the earth do set themselves, and princes are combin'd, To plot against the Lord, and his Anointed, saying thus,
