For why? the way of godly men unto the Lord is known: Whereas the way of wicked men shall quite be overthrown.


But unto them that do him fear God's mercy never ends; And to their children's children still his righteousness extends:


Thou, with thy counsel, while I live, wilt me conduct and guide; And to thy glory afterward receive me to abide.


Amidst those days that evil be, why should I, fearing, doubt? When of my heels th' iniquity shall compass me about.


I'll in thy mercy gladly joy: for thou my miseries Consider'd hast; thou hast my soul known in adversities:


The Lord shall laugh at him, because his day he coming seeth.


My times are wholly in thine hand: do thou deliver me From their hands that mine enemies and persecutors be.


When he desired life of thee, thou life to him didst give; Ev'n such a length of days, that he for evermore should live.


Thou wilt me shew the path of life: of joys there is full store Before thy face; at thy right hand are pleasures evermore.
