More smooth than butter were his words, while in his heart was war; His speeches were more soft than oil, and yet drawn swords they are.


His mouth with cursing, fraud, deceit, is fill'd abundantly; And underneath his tongue there is mischief and vanity.


Much like unto a serpent's tongue their tongues they sharp do make; And underneath their lips there lies the poison of a snake.


But as for such as turn aside after their crooked way, God shall lead forth with wicked men: on Isr'el peace shall stay.


Ye brutish people! understand; fools! when wise will ye grow?


The wicked men estranged are, ev'n from the very womb; They, speaking lies, do stray as soon as to the world they come.


For in their mouth there is no truth, their inward part is ill; Their throat's an open sepulchre, their tongue doth flatter still.
