Revive and quicken me, O Lord, ev'n for thine own name's sake; And do thou, for thy righteousness, my soul from trouble take.


Who righteous judgment executes for those oppress'd that be, Who to the hungry giveth food; God sets the pris'ners free.


I will unto the Lord my God sing praises cheerfully, Because he hath his bounty shown to me abundantly.


That I, in Sion's daughters' gates, may all thy praise advance; And that I may rejoice always in thy deliverance.


I with my voice cry'd to the Lord, with it made my request:


With me thy servant, in thy grace, deal bountifully, Lord: That by thy favor I may live, and duly keep thy word.


O thou my soul, do thou return unto thy quiet rest; For largely, lo, the Lord to thee his bounty hath exprest.


So who thee fear shall joy to see me trusting in thy word.


My soul shall boast in God: the meek shall hear with joyfulness.


And thou hast not inclosed me within the en'my's hand; And by thee have my feet been made in a large room to stand.


When back my foes were turn'd, they fell, and perish'd at thy sight:


And they for good that render ill, as en'mies me withstood; Yea, ev'n for this, because that I do follow what is good.


Lord, free me from my foes; I flee to thee to cover me.
