How long, Lord, wilt thou hide thyself? for ever, in thine ire? And shall thine indignation burn like unto a fire?


O Lord of hosts, almighty God, how long shall kindled be Thy wrath against the prayer made by thine own folk to thee?


My soul is also vexed sore; But, Lord, how long stay wilt thou make?


O wherefore hidest thou thy face? forgett'st our cause distress'd,


How long, Lord, look'st thou on? from those destructions they intend Rescue my soul, from lions young my darling do defend.


O Lord, do thou arise; O God, lift up thine hand on high: Put not the meek afflicted ones out of thy memory.


Shall thy displeasure thus endure against us without end? Wilt thou to generations all thine anger forth extend?


O God, why hast thou cast us off? is it for evermore? Against thy pasture-sheep why doth thine anger smoke so sore?


O with thy tender mercies, Lord, us early satisfy; So we rejoice shall all our days, and still be glad in thee.
