Blessed are they that undefil'd, and straight are in the way; Who in the Lord's most holy law do walk, and do not stray.


Praise ye the Lord. The man is bless'd that fears the Lord aright, He who in his commandements doth greatly take delight.


Such pity as a father hath unto his children dear; Like pity shews the Lord to such as worship him in fear.


But in all those that do him fear the Lord doth pleasure take; In those that to his mercy do by hope themselves betake.


Except the Lord do build the house, the builders lose their pain: Except the Lord the city keep, the watchmen watch in vain.


Both small and great, that fear the Lord, he will them surely bless.


But unto them that do him fear God's mercy never ends; And to their children's children still his righteousness extends:


They in the Lord that firmly trust shall be like Sion hill, Which at no time can be remov'd, but standeth ever still.


In my distress to God I cry'd, and he gave ear to me.


Such in his ways do walk, and they do no iniquity.


I to the hills will lift mine eyes, from whence doth come mine aid.


Had not the Lord been on our side, may Israel now say;


O thou my soul, bless God the Lord; and all that in me is Be stirred up his holy name to magnify and bless.


When Sion's bondage God turn'd back, as men that dream'd were we.


O that my people had me heard, Isr'el my ways had chose!


O thou that dwellest in the heav'ns, I lift mine eyes to thee.


I joy'd when to the house of God, Go up, they said to me.
