Then Jesus said, “It is the same for you. If you want to be one of my followers, you have to think about it. You see, your life will be hard. Yes, they are useless. But I know Jesus Christ. That is the only important thing. He is my leader, and he is really special to me now. I have left every other way, and I only follow him now. I reckon all those other things are rubbish, and I have chucked them away, so that I can join up with Jesus Christ,


And straight away, they left their nets and followed him.


Jesus said, “I want you 2 to come with me. I want you to stop catching fish and start catching people for me.”


Jesus kept walking along next to the water, and he saw James and John getting their nets ready to catch fish. And their father Zebedee was with them too.
