I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come?


But my eyes are turned toward you, O God, my Lord; in you I seek refuge; do not leave me defenseless.


My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.


He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision.


But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’


The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his gaze examines humankind.


“Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.


O Lord, remember in David's favor all the hardships he endured;


In my distress I cry to the Lord, that he may answer me:


For thus says the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.


Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.


When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.


Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.


Our God is in the heavens; he does whatever he pleases.


Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.


Thus says the Lord: Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is my resting place?


Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!


How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!


“Often have they attacked me from my youth” —let Israel now say—


Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.


If it had not been the Lord who was on our side —let Israel now say—


O Lord, my heart is not lifted up, my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.


I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”


Hear the plea of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place; O hear in heaven your dwelling place; heed and forgive.
