The house of the wicked is destroyed, but the tent of the upright flourishes.


Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.


I overthrew some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a brand snatched from the fire; yet you did not return to me, says the Lord.


The wicked are overthrown by their evildoing, but the righteous find a refuge in their integrity.


Let those who are wise give heed to these things, and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.


But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah


If one leans against its house, it will not stand; if one lays hold of it, it will not endure.


I have seen fools taking root, but suddenly I cursed their dwelling.


Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.


Righteousness guards one whose way is upright, but sin overthrows the wicked.


So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had settled.


When the wicked are in authority, transgression increases, but the righteous will look upon their downfall.
