Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.


“Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day catch you unexpectedly,


but the cares of the world, and the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it yields nothing.


He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.


As for what fell among the thorns, these are the ones who hear; but as they go on their way, they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.


The more words, the more vanity, so how is one the better?


Now as they went on their way, he entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.


But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.”


Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.


Accordingly, though Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus,


There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him.
