you make the winds your messengers, fire and flame your ministers.


Are not all angels spirits in the divine service, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?


Then Elisha prayed: “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the servant, and he saw; the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.


As they continued walking and talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them, and Elijah ascended in a whirlwind into heaven.
