6 When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.


The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.


Solomon was sovereign over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.


The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving;


Jerusalem has had mighty kings who ruled over the whole province Beyond the River, to whom tribute, custom, and toll were paid.


Therefore you gave them into the hands of their enemies, who made them suffer. Then in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hands of their enemies.


It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.


They are ever giving liberally and lending, and their children become a blessing.


For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates from Tiphsah to Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates; and he had peace on all sides.


He ruled over all the kings from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.


They shall lend to you but you shall not lend to them; they shall be the head and you shall be the tail.


if only you will obey the Lord your God by diligently observing this entire commandment that I command you today.


therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord, have blessed and are blessed forever.”
