Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for you to make others fall by what you eat;


Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience,


I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean.


“All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.


But as for the Gentiles who have become believers, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from fornication.”


They forbid marriage and demand abstinence from foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.


God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.


The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he;


that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from fornication. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”


The voice said to him again, a second time, “What God has made clean, you must not call profane.”


Those who observe the day, observe it in honor of the Lord. Also those who eat, eat in honor of the Lord, since they give thanks to God; while those who abstain, abstain in honor of the Lord and give thanks to God.


for “the earth and its fullness are the Lord's.”


If I partake with thankfulness, why should I be denounced because of that for which I give thanks?
