which I commanded your ancestors when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron-smelter, saying, Listen to my voice, and do all that I command you. So shall you be my people, and I will be your God,


They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great power and your strong hand.


But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron-smelter, out of Egypt, to become a people of his very own possession, as you are now.


Not like these is the Lord, the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.


Do not be exceedingly angry, O Lord, and do not remember iniquity forever. Now consider, we are all your people.


then hear from heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their pleas, maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you.


For you have separated them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be your heritage, just as you promised through Moses, your servant, when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt, O Lord God.”


the Lord's own portion was his people, Jacob his allotted share.


O save your people, and bless your heritage; be their shepherd, and carry them forever.


See, I have refined you, but not like silver; I have tested you in the furnace of adversity.
