And when you look up to the heavens and see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, do not be led astray and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples everywhere under heaven.


Then the moon will be abashed, and the sun ashamed; for the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before his elders he will manifest his glory.


When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established;


if I have looked at the sun when it shone, or the moon moving in splendor,


And God said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,


There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one thing, and that of the earthly is another.


So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.


He said to him, ‘And you, rule over five cities.’
