Although Joseph had recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him.


After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.


While they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and went with them,


And he said to them, “What are you discussing with each other while you walk along?” They stood still, looking sad.


Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished from their sight.


When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus.


Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
