then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.


You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.


Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the schemes of the wicked?


In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being.


as long as my breath is in me and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,


But truly it is the spirit in a mortal, the breath of the Almighty that makes for understanding.


When you send forth your spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.


By the word of the Lord the heavens were made and all their host by the breath of his mouth.
