that you seek out my iniquity and search for my sin,


What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should be patient?


Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to you.


Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise him, my help and my God.


Moses told this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and their cruel slavery.


Then he said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to death; remain here, and stay awake with me.”


Do not regard your servant as a worthless woman, for I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation all this time.”
