When Judah saw her, he thought her to be a prostitute, for she had covered her face.


He answered, “I will send you a kid from the flock.” And she said, “Only if you give me a pledge until you send it.”


But when she brought them near him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”


Gifts are given to all prostitutes, but you gave your gifts to all your lovers, bribing them to come to you from all around for your prostitutions.


and said, “What will you give me if I betray him to you?” They paid him thirty pieces of silver.
