Leah’s maid Zilpah bore Jacob a second son.


The sons of Zilpah, Leah’s maid: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram.


The children of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. The children of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.


Asher’s food shall be rich, and he shall provide royal delicacies.


Her children rise up and call her happy; her husband, too, and he praises her:


My dove, my perfect one, is the only one, the darling of her mother, flawless to her who bore her. The maidens saw her and called her happy; the queens and concubines praised her.


for he has looked with favor on the lowly state of his servant. Surely from now on all generations will call me blessed,
