But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive opinions. They will even deny the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.


What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects of wrath that are made for destruction;


“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it.


Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the Lord, how much more human hearts!


Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin.


But you, O God, will cast them down into the lowest pit; the bloodthirsty and treacherous shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.


Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.


that the wicked are spared in the day of calamity, and are rescued in the day of wrath?


I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.


Your dead shall live, their corpses shall rise. O dwellers in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a radiant dew, and the earth will give birth to those long dead.


He said to me, “Mortal, can these bones live?” I answered, “O Lord God, you know.”
