Now this I affirm and insist on in the Lord: you must no longer live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds.


For the Lord spoke thus to me while his hand was strong upon me, and warned me not to walk in the way of this people, saying:


It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that try to compel you to be circumcised—only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.


But when I saw that they were not acting consistently with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”


not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.


But if you will not listen, my soul will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock has been taken captive.


—especially those who indulge their flesh in depraved lust, and who despise authority. Bold and willful, they are not afraid to slander the glorious ones,


that no one wrong or exploit a brother or sister in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, just as we have already told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.


constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you,


envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.


I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.


Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I am not indignant?


For such boasters are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.


For I wrote you out of much distress and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain, but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you.


Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites,


For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.


I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
