Be careful that you do not entertain a mean thought, thinking, “The seventh year, the year of remission, is near,” and therefore view your needy neighbor with hostility and give nothing; your neighbor might cry to the Lord against you, and you would incur guilt.


adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly.


but if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim before you the name, ‘The Lord’; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.


Beloved, do not grumble against one another, so that you may not be judged. See, the Judge is standing at the doors!


In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.


even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—


Can I not do with you, O house of Israel, just as this potter has done? says the Lord. Just like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.


Take what belongs to you and go; I choose to give to this last the same as I give to you.
