Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters. Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?

“And now, my children, listen to me: happy are those who keep my ways.


And now, my children, listen to me, and be attentive to the words of my mouth.


Hear, O daughter, consider and incline your ear; forget your people and your father's house,


Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.


He began to teach them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them:


And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
