He came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea, Jerusalem, and the coast of Tyre and Sidon.


And great crowds followed him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.


When Jesus became aware of this, he departed. Many crowds followed him, and he cured all of them,


But they were insistent and said, “He stirs up the people by teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee where he began even to this place.”


Now during those days he went out to the mountain to pray; and he spent the night in prayer to God.


And he went throughout Galilee, proclaiming the message in their synagogues and casting out demons.


When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly I tell you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.


Out of the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the slayer, Hammoth-dor with its pasture lands, and Kartan with its pasture lands—three towns.


So they set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali, and Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the hill country of Judah.


Then the believers immediately sent Paul away to the coast, but Silas and Timothy remained behind.


That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas off to Beroea; and when they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue.


They replied, “Surely you are not also from Galilee, are you? Search and you will see that no prophet is to arise from Galilee.” [


Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But some asked, “Surely the Messiah does not come from Galilee, does he?


and he ordered them not to make him known.


But he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the word, so that Jesus could no longer go into a town openly, but stayed out in the country; and people came to him from every quarter.


and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat.


Again he began to teach beside the sea. Such a very large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the sea and sat there, while the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land.
