When they had come near Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,


He took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be distressed and agitated.


James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.”


Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,


He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.


When he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”


Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain, by themselves.


Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples approached him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”


Then the disciples came and asked him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”


“Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be accomplished?”
