Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.


But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit;


Now during those days he went out to the mountain to pray; and he spent the night in prayer to God.


Once when Jesus was praying alone, with only the disciples near him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.


Now about eight days after these sayings Jesus took with him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.


O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek; you will strengthen their heart, you will incline your ear


When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, “Do not weep.”


and sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?”


there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”


He said to them, “When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
