if we invade the land and you do not tie this crimson cord in the window through which you let us down, and you do not gather into your house your father and mother, your brothers, and all your family.


For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.


And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, “Go into the prostitute's house, and bring the woman out of it and all who belong to her, as you swore to her.”


When the spies saw a man coming out of the city, they said to him, “Show us the way into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.”
