He asked them, “Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were worse sinners than all other Galileans?


They answered him, “You were born entirely in sins, and are you trying to teach us?” And they drove him out.


When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “This man must be a murderer; though he has escaped from the sea, justice has not allowed him to live.”


You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,


And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”


and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, and to have people call them rabbi.


But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.


Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, eat something.”


As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth.
