Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would not have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.


If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.


If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.


For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment that was passed on to them.


They know God's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die—yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.


Did what is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, working death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.
