Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.


So the men turned from there, and went toward Sodom, while Abraham remained standing before the Lord.


The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and bowed down with his face to the ground.


And the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Although you are barren, having borne no children, you shall conceive and bear a son.


Abraham rose and bowed to the Hittites, the people of the land.


Once when Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing before him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you one of us, or one of our adversaries?”

Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.


When the company of prophets who were at Jericho saw him at a distance, they declared, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.
