Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—


This is the list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humankind, he made them in the likeness of God.


Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.


And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.


Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.


He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;


With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse those who are made in the likeness of God.


In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.


For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and reflection of God; but woman is the reflection of man.

But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives strength in the night,


But Jesus answered them, “My Father is still working, and I also am working.”


It sounds rather strange to us, so we would like to know what it means.”


For you shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the wild animals shall be at peace with you.


So out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.


For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord, and there is no other.


Will you depend on it because its strength is great, and will you hand over your labor to it?


We will make you ornaments of gold, studded with silver.
