Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.


let us live honorably as in the day, not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy.


for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He must never drink wine or strong drink; even before his birth he will be filled with the Holy Spirit.


Ah, you who are heroes in drinking wine and valiant at mixing drink,
