and indeed you do love all the brothers and sisters throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, beloved, to do so more and more,


I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.


Confident of your obedience, I am writing to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.


Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;


And I wrote as I did, so that when I came, I might not suffer pain from those who should have made me rejoice; for I am confident about all of you, that my joy would be the joy of all of you.


Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.


Now we command you, beloved, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from believers who are living in idleness and not according to the tradition that they received from us.


and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”


I am confident about you in the Lord that you will not think otherwise. But whoever it is that is confusing you will pay the penalty.


And with them we are sending our brother whom we have often tested and found eager in many matters, but who is now more eager than ever because of his great confidence in you.


I wrote for this reason: to test you and to know whether you are obedient in everything.


Anyone who claims to be a prophet, or to have spiritual powers, must acknowledge that what I am writing to you is a command of the Lord.


Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing; but obeying the commandments of God is everything.


For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to win obedience from the Gentiles, by word and deed,


I myself feel confident about you, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.


to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;
