Do not lord it over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock.


Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand,


for we walk by faith, not by sight.


For we do not proclaim ourselves; we proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus' sake.


That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand only through faith. So do not become proud, but stand in awe.


through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

For you put up with it when someone makes slaves of you, or preys upon you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or gives you a slap in the face.
