Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.


and we sent Timothy, our brother and co-worker for God in proclaiming the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you for the sake of your faith,


For this reason I sent you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ Jesus, as I teach them everywhere in every church.


Timothy, my co-worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my relatives.


so that you may behave properly toward outsiders and be dependent on no one.


As we work together with him, we urge you also not to accept the grace of God in vain.
