He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.


Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.


But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.


having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:


for their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.


And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,


Then led they Jesus from Cai´aphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.


Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.


That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.


The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.


who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;


Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.


But the chief captain Lys´i-as came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
