Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,


So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.

And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.


And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.


For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.


And all the guests that were with Adoni´jah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.


An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.


Let not thine heart envy sinners; but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.
