And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.


the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?


Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.


There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey: they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.


The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Ba´al, and walked after things that do not profit.


Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.


If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.


Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;


Where are now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?

But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.


And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house, shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolai´ah, and of Zedeki´ah the son of Ma-asei´ah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrez´zar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;


For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her,


The Lord said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aho´lah and Ahol´ibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;


The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.


But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
