And the Gil´e-adites took the passages of Jordan before the E´phra-imites: and it was so, that when those E´phra-imites which were escaped said, Let me go over, that the men of Gil´e-ad said unto him, Art thou an E´phra-imite? If he said, Nay;


And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the Lord hath delivered into your hand the host of Mid´i-an.


And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.


And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.

And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.


And Barak called Zeb´ulun and Naph´tali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.


And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valor; and there escaped not a man.


And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Jo´ash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Mid´i-an, and all the host.


And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?


And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
